OREANDA-NEWS Students from Ivanov have developed sticker sensors that show cargo damage, the press service of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) told RIA Novosti.
"The team of the Ivanovo State University of Chemical Technology has created sticker sensors that show that the cargo was damaged during transportation, and help to track at what point it happened. The solution will improve the quality of delivery of valuable, expensive or fragile goods for transport companies. The work on the project was carried out within the framework of the acceleration program, the operator of which is the Platform of the National Technology Initiative," the organization reported.
This is a small impact sensor on a self-adhesive basis, which is often used by transport companies. During laboratory experiments, the developers drew attention to a special substance, N-acetyl dihydroanonaine, which reacts to physical impact and changes color when cargo is damaged.
