OREANDA-NEWS  In 2023, it is planned to increase the production of electric vehicles in the Russian Federation. This indicator should grow nine times. Thus, the production volume will reach 18 thousand cars. This information is presented in a message that was published on the official website of the Cabinet of Ministers.

"In 2022, about 2 thousand electric vehicles were produced in Russia. At the same time, there is a tendency to increase plans for the production of electric vehicles. This year, it is planned to increase the production of electric vehicles nine times, that is, to about 18 thousand units per year, and in 2024 – 36 thousand per year," the report says.

Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that all Moscow city services will be gradually transferred to electric vehicles, 80% of passenger traffic is already carried out by electric transport.
