OREANDA-NEWS There are almost no new cars of mass European and Korean brands left in Russia — Volkswagen, Kia, Skoda, Renault, Hyundai and Toyota, writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta with reference to dealers. Premium brand models are also coming to an end.

The worst situation is with German brands, especially premium and luxury segments — Audi, Volkswagen (Touareg model), BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

Marketing Director of AG "Avilon" Andrey Kamensky said that the dealer has almost depleted stocks of mass segment cars imported officially. The Hyundai brand has completely run out of sedans and the Creta model, Volkswagen has the Polo and Touareg models. Volkswagen Tiguan has only a few pieces left. However, Kamensky stressed that there is still a stock of similar models in warehouses - Volkswagen Tayron, Talagon and Teramont. According to the interlocutors of the newspaper, now the warehouses of Russian dealers are mostly filled with Chinese and domestic cars and electric cars. The most popular are Lada, Chery, Haval, Exeed and Changan. The demand for Moskvich, Omoda and Evolute is growing.

At the same time, the representative of Avilon notes that the company has retained a good selection of cars in the price segment of 1.5 million rubles due to parallel import deliveries. Volkswagen Bora, FAW B70, Jetta VA3 are in demand among buyers. According to Kamensky, there is traditionally a high demand for crossovers in Russia, and budget Kia — KH3 and Sportage R models are now available in this category.

In May, analysts of the portal for the sale of cars Auto.ru It was reported that at the beginning of 2023, the average price of used Chinese models in Russia soared by 62 percent year-on-year, to 1.6 million rubles. Compared to the same period in 2021, cars have risen in price five times.
