OREANDA-NEWS Rosavtodor will spend more than 5 billion rubles to replace asphalt on federal roads in the Moscow region. In May, after the conclusion of the relevant contracts, it is planned to begin repairs on sections of the M-2, M-5, M-7, M-8, M-9, A-108, Shchelkovsky Highway and other key highways. Contractors should provide for "measures to eliminate flooding events," but experts predict that traffic jams during the repair season cannot be avoided.
FKU Centravtomagistral (a division of Rosavtodor responsible for the main roads of the Moscow region) holds more than two dozen competitions on the "device of wear layers" — the replacement of the top layer of asphalt — in areas subordinated to M-2, M-5, M-7, M-8, M-9, A-108, and also Shchelkovsky, Dmitrovsky, Rublevo-Uspensky, Ilyinsky highway. The length of the sections to be repaired varies from 1 to 20 km. In some cases, it is planned to replace the entire asphalt, in others — only on certain lanes. The total amount of financing for these tenders, according to Kommersant's calculations, exceeds 5 billion rubles.
Most of the funds — about 900 million rubles. — will be invested in the renewal of the section from the 22nd to the 50th kilometer of the Novorizhskoye highway: the pavement changes on three or four lanes in each direction.
The work is scheduled to begin in May—July, it follows from the TOR. Contractors will have to provide for "measures aimed at reducing congestion and increasing capacity within the boundaries of work," as well as analyze the possibility of repairs "outside the hours of maximum traffic." Pyotr Shkumatov, coordinator of the Blue Buckets movement, believes that traffic jams are "absolutely inevitable" due to the narrowing of the roadway.
"Carrying out this type of work does involve restricting the movement of vehicles, however, by redistributing the flow, road workers will try to minimize inconveniences for drivers," Rosavtodor assured Kommersant.— Up-to-date information about the restrictions will be brought to all participants of the movement in a timely manner." It should be noted that on the M-8 highway in the first quarter of this year, the expansion of the roadway on the section from the 35th to the 40th kilometer (in the Pushkino area) from four to eight lanes will also begin, work will last until 2026. Repair of the bridge over the Chernaya River will begin on the 124th kilometer of the M-5 in May (a competition for 55.5 million rubles). already announced).
