OREANDA-NEWS In 2023, Rosatom fulfilled a cargo transportation plan on the Northern Sea Route in the amount of 36 million tons, said Alexey Likhachev, Director General of the state corporation, in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV channel.

"I am very grateful to our partners — Gazpromneft, Lukoil, Norilsk Nickel, who found an opportunity to leave the western direction. This allowed us, firstly, to reach the target figure of 36 million tons before the New Year and, secondly, to increase international transit to a record volume of significantly more than 2 million tons," Likhachev said.
