OREANDA-NEWS A passenger plane of Nordwind Airlines caught fire at Sochi airport before departure. The incident occurred during the de-icing treatment of the aircraft. The flight was preparing to depart for Orenburg, the airport's press service reported. Passengers of the Sochi-Orenburg flight told that the engine of the plane smoked during takeoff. Nordwind Airlines could not comment on the incident.

«In preparation for the de-icing treatment of the aircraft of flight N4048 on the route Sochi — Orenburg of Nordwind Airlines, an engine fire occurred. The flight was postponed. Passengers were disembarked at the terminal», the message says.

As a result of the incident, no one was injured. The passengers were disembarked from the liner and returned to the terminal, where they were provided with hot meals and water.
