OREANDA-NEWS  By the end of 2023, it is planned to install 659 fast electric charging stations for cars in 32 Russian regions. This is reported by Izvestia with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

However, industry representatives believe that this amount is not enough for comfortable use of electric cars. According to their calculations, taking into account the growing popularity of such cars, at least 18 thousand EZS are needed. It is clarified that the greatest shortage is observed, even in such large cities as Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Ruslan Tarasov, editor-in-chief of the Russian electric vehicle portal EV-Start, predicted that in 2023 electric car owners will increase by 5-6 thousand. And the founder and CEO of Edison Technologies (manufacturer of EHS) Mikhail Krapivnoy believes that the demand for electric cars will increase by 30 percent this year.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian authorities were going to increase the production of electric vehicles nine times. In 2023, it is planned to produce 18 thousand such cars in the country.
