OREANDA-NEWS Japanese concern Mazda will withdraw from Russia 62.3 thousand cars due to problems with airbags, according to the website of Rosstandart. The company "Mazda Motor RUS" announced the recall of Mazda cars sold from May 2006 to November 2014.

The company recalls cars Mazda 2, Mazda 6, Mazda CX-7 and Mazda BT-50, sold during 8 years: 2006-2014. It is noted that due to the high humidity, the integrity of the gas generator shells of the front passenger airbags may be violated. As a result, they may not work in an accident.

"The reason vehicles are the continued influence of high absolute humidity, which can lead to the violation of the integrity/cracking housings of gas generators front airbags passenger and trip data airbag improperly in a collision, the relevant criteria for their operation. Violation of integrity / cracking of the case of the gas generator can lead to hit of metal splinters in passengers or the driver and, as a result, to their heavy injury or death", - it is told in the message.

On the revocable cars will be replaced by the front passenger airbag gas generator modified. All repairs will be carried out free of charge for the owners, said in Rosstandart.

Official dealers of LLC Mazda Motor RUS will inform owners of the Mazda2, Mazda6, Mazda CX-7, Mazda BT-50 cars falling under the review on need to provide the vehicle to the nearest dealer center for carrying out repair work.

In early November, it became known that Mazda recalled 230 thousand cars in Japan and 410 thousand in other countries due to faulty springs of diesel engine valves. The problem could lead to a decrease in engine speed and stop it while the machine is moving.
