OREANDA-NEWS. Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and Swiss Airlines, part of the Lufthansa Group, have decided to extend cooperation with the Moscow Domodedovo Airport until 2025. This was reported in a joint press release by the airline and the airport.
"After a comprehensive assessment of all major Moscow airports, Lufthansa Group airlines - Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS - decided to continue flights from Domodedovo Airport. In addition, the cooperation agreement with the airport operator was extended for another five years - until 2025", says in the message. It's noted that the Lufthansa Group and Domodedovo have been cooperating since 2008 and that over that time more than 13.9 million passengers and over 126 thousand flights were served. The new agreement assumes that the airline will fly from a new segment of the Domodedovo terminal.
"Domodedovo Airport is the best choice for Lufthansa Group carriers operating flights to the largest city in Russia - Moscow. We are confident that our passengers are provided with the highest level of service. The comprehensive cooperation from the airport and the necessary infrastructure have determined the success of our cooperation", said Lufthansa Group Chairman Karsten Spur.
