Izvestia: Taxi Prices are Expected to Rise by 5-10% in Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. Taxi fares may increase by five to ten percent due to rising fuel prices. Izvestia writes about this with reference to the Public Council for the Development of Taxi.
Thus, in some regions, there have already been cases of significant overstatement of the cost of travel. For example, in the Primorsky Territory of Russia, where fuel has risen in price by two or three rubles per liter, while the average price in the country has grown only by one and a half rubles.
The Association of Automobile Carriers and Taxi said that propane-butane rose to 29 rubles, while last year it cost 16, and methane - up to 19-20 rubles, depending on the gas station (last year its price ranged from 14 to 16 rubles).
Russian taxi companies are concerned about the rise in fuel prices, so they include costs in the cost of tariffs.
Since the beginning of the year, the FAS has received about 60 complaints about overpricing for taxis, many of which occurred during the period of unfavorable weather conditions in the regions. Most complaints about high prices for taxi services came from Moscow and the Moscow region, Tatarstan, Nizhny Novgorod, Astrakhan and the Oryol region.
Earlier, the Independent Fuel Union (NTS) warned that gasoline prices in Russia could rise above inflation, in the worst case - by 14%.
