OREANDA-NEWS. The official opening ceremony of the international exercises Sea Breeze-2021 was held in Odessa on Monday, the broadcast was conducted on the Ukrainian Navy's Facebook page.

Exercise Sea Breeze-2021 will be held from June 28 to July 10 in the Black Sea. They will involve 5,000 servicemen and 32 ships from 32 countries.

"Let me, on behalf of all the Ukrainian Navy, congratulate you on the opening of the international exercises Sea Breese-2021," said the commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Oleksiy Neizhpapa, addressing the officers of the naval forces in Odessa.

Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Igor Konashenkov, said that under the cover of the Sea Breeze exercises, NATO would supply Ukraine with modern weapons, which would later be transferred to the troops and national battalions in Donbass.

Multinational military exercises have been held in Ukraine since 1997. The organizers of the exercises are Ukraine and the United States.

On June 27, it was reported that the American missile destroyer USS Ross arrived at the port of Odessa to participate in the annual Sea Breeze exercise.

Earlier, the Russian Black Sea Fleet emphasized that they control the actions of the American destroyer, which entered the Black Sea the day before.
