In Russia, they began selling a budget Chinese electric car

OREANDA-NEWS Chinese electric car Dongfeng E70 began selling in Russia for about 2.8 million rubles, reports Autonews.ru with reference to the data of a large dealer. In the country of production, the price of a car ranges from 142 thousand to 154 thousand yuan (1.62–1.75 million rubles at the current exchange rate).
In China, the car has been produced since 2019, and since 2022, the assembly of the model has begun at the Lipetsk plant. In Russia, it was named Evolute i-Pro and differs from the prototype only in logos.
The car is equipped with parking sensors, climate control, audio system with two speakers, front and side airbags, anti-slip system and tire pressure sensor.
The power plant is similar to the one used on the Evolute i-Pro, and consists of a single electric motor on the front axle with a capacity of 150 horsepower. The power reserve on a single charge is 400 kilometers, and the maximum speed is electronically limited to 150 kilometers per hour.
Earlier it was reported that over the year the share of Chinese brands in the Russian car market increased from 9 to 43 percent. The fastest increase from April 2022 to April 2023 was Chery, which instead of 3 percent now occupies a fifth of the entire market.
