In Russia Proposed to Create an Individual Program of Technical Inspections
OREANDA-NEWS The Russian operator of the system of electronic vehicle passports (PTS) "Electronic passport" is developing a system for monitoring the condition of vehicles, which will create an individual program of technical inspections (TO) for each machine. On Friday reports mass media with reference to the Director of Department of scientific and technical activity of "electronic passport" Boris Ionov.
According to this information, the program of technical inspections will be formed on the basis of the characteristics of the car, features of operation, information about mileage, insurance cases, recall campaigns, maintenance and accident. For this purpose, a new vehicle condition monitoring system is already being developed.
On the basis of this analysis will be formed or "good" history - in this case, the technical inspection can be held less often, it will be cheaper, or "bad", which will lead to a more frequent and thorough, and therefore more expensive.
It is noted that the worst case scenario is the introduction of restrictions on the operation of the car with the transfer of information to the traffic police "and even a ban on operation".
"Individual inspection programs can be made even for specific models, categories of cars. For example, an ordinary car is enough to pass once a year, and for a taxi with an annual mileage of 200 thousand km is to be tested, say, once in three months," explained Ionov.
A number of operators Technological Inspection support such proposals, said the publication of Ions. He also added that to run the system, the operator must accumulate a certain history of cars. In addition, it will be necessary to amend the law "on inspection" and other regulations. The exact timing of commissioning of the new system is still unknown. Most likely, it will take several years.
At the moment, new cars under the age of three years do not pass inspection at all, and cars aged three to seven years - every two years, then annually. Buses, taxis and some types of trucks are inspected every six months.
