OREANDA-NEWS. It is planned to completely ban advertising on public transport in 2020 in St. Petersburg, the head of the city’s transport committee, Alexander Golovin, told reporters.

 “It is not permissible for vehicles to be advertised.  Transport must be recognizable by the townspeople.  A competition for the color of transport is currently being held on our website.  Everyone should see that it is public transport.  I think if there will be no advertising on transport, then Petersburgers will appreciate it, ”Golovin said.

 The chairman of the transport committee also said that the loss of funds by carriers due to refusal of advertising is not important in this matter.  “We do not paste the facades on Nevsky Prospect with advertising, and the same thing with buses,” he said.
