OREANDA-NEWS. Passengers who delay transport in Kazan due to the lack of QR codes will be held liable, Metroelektrotrans will seek compensation for downtime, the company reports in its Telegram channel.
On Monday, a ban on travel without QR codes for passengers over 18 years old in urban, suburban, inter-municipal public transport began to operate in Tatarstan. The ban also applies to the subway. The exception is passenger taxis and interregional transportation. The checks are carried out by the carriers.
"MUP" Metroelectrotrans "will seek reimbursement of transport downtime during the morning rush hour," the message says.
According to the company, on November 22 at 06.33 the central dispatcher received a message that at the Ulitsa Vosstaniya stop in tram № 1, the passenger does not show the QR code and does not leave the tram's interior. The arriving policemen took him out of the tram, and a report on an administrative offense was drawn up against him.
The traffic delay was one hour, during which time another 10 trams gathered at the stop. According to the proceeds, approved by the Kazan Transport Committee, the amount of damage from the delay amounted to 6.4 thousand rubles, Metroelektrotrans notes.
