OREANDA-NEWS In 2019, Hyundai Solaris became the most frequently stolen car in Russia. This is reported by "Izvestia" with reference to the statistics of car theft provided to the newspaper by the company "Renaissance Insurance".

The report presents data for the period from January to June 2019. The second place in the list of the most stolen cars is Kia Rio, and the third - Kia Ceed. Besides them, Hyundai Creta, Ford Kuga, Hyundai Tucson, Toyota RAV4, Hyundai ix35, Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Optima hit the rating.

According to Renaissance Insurance, Mazda CX-5 and Ford Focus are in the top 10 stolen vehicles, according to the “Izvestia” report.

Budget cars are more often stolen in the regions, while in Moscow and St. Petersburg they also claim that the more expensive cars are stolen - BMW X5, 3-series sedan of the same brand and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV.

The most intractable car is Volkswagen Tiguan. Next in the top five unattractive from car thieves are Skoda Fabia, Skoda Yeti, Skoda Rapid and Chevrolet Aveo.
