OREANDA-NEWS. The official representative of the Hino brand in Russia - Hino Motors - announces the recall of 3 thousand 522 Hino 300 Series cars (type L5). As stated in the message of the Russian standard, vehicles sold from June 2011 to March 2017 are subject to recall.

"Reason for recalling vehicles: when the parking brake is applied by raising the lever, the ratchet stopper under the action of the spring with its free end may not engage fully with the wheel, balancing on the top of the ratchet tooth. In this state, the stopper cannot completely prevent the ratchet from returning from - due to insufficient spring force In this case, the force of the parking brake drive may not be sufficient to keep the vehicle stationary relative to the supporting surface", explained in Russian standard.

It's noted that the vehicles will replace the parking brake lever. Work will be carried out free of charge for car owners.
