Hino Automobile Plant will be Built by 2020 near Moscow
OREANDA-NEWS The construction of the Hino plant (a subsidiary of Toyota) for the production of trucks in the city district of Khimki (near Moscow) can be completed in 2019, said Deputy Chairman of the regional government Vadim Khromov.
On behalf of the Governor of the Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov from February 26 to March 1 in Tokyo, Sapporo and Nagoya held a series of business and business events as part of the presentation of the investment potential of the Moscow region. The delegation of the region is headed by Vadim Khromov.
"Today we held working negotiations with the leaders of the company Hino. We plan to lay the stone [in the Foundation of the plant] for April now earthworks are underway. All construction work on the buildings may well be done this year, then there will be the installation of equipment and the launch of production," the press service of the Governor and the government of the Moscow region quoted Khromov on Tuesday.
Earlier it was reported that Hino plans to produce small and medium-duty trucks of its 300 and 500 series at the Khimki plant. The capacity of the enterprise should be about 2 thousand units per year. The plant will create about 50 jobs. The Japanese company intended to invest about $17 million in production in the Moscow region.
It is planned that the plant will be located in the area of 12 thousand square meters, with construction planned to begin in the second quarter of 2018 and be completed in the fourth quarter of the same year. The launch of the enterprise was originally planned for the third quarter of 2019.
Hino Motors is one of Japan's largest manufacturers of trucks and buses. Since the 1960s, it is a branch of Toyota Corporation.
