According to the Nation analyst.David Avalishvili's ge, mainly low-price cars are imported from Georgia, which are not subject to sanctions. At the same time, the republic is not the only re—exporter: a significant part of cars are also imported through Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
Earlier, the European Union banned the supply of new and used cars with an engine capacity of more than 1.9 liters, as well as electric cars and hybrids to Russia. A similar decision was made by Japan, which also restricted the sale of truck tires. According to the country's Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Yasutoshi Nishimura, Tokyo will continue to do everything necessary to comply with sanctions against Russia together with the world community and the G7 countries.
