OREANDA-NEWS. The Chinese company XPeng has presented a prototype of a car that can not only drive, but also fly. The device was named HT Aero, it is being developed by a subsidiary of XPeng. This is reported by the media TechCrunch.

The car looks like a sedan, it has three doors, two seats, an electric motor and propellers for takeoff. The device is equipped with an autopilot system that can assess the environment on the roads and in the air. HT Aero is designed for flights at low altitude. In addition to the steering wheel, the cabin has a joystick-like control handle for moving in the air. The presented car has a length of 5.5 m. In the air, it can accelerate up to 130 km/h, the flight time is limited to 30 minutes.

Mass production could begin as early as 2024. The new car is estimated at about one million yuan (about $156 thousand). In the future, it is necessary to study the possibility of raising a consumer car to a small height from a legal point of view.
