OREANDA-NEWS. The organizers of the Formula 1 World Racing Championship reported on the official Twitter account of the competition that the French Grand Prix was canceled due to a coronavirus pandemic.
“The 2020 French Grand Prix, scheduled for Sunday June 28, has been called off due to the global Coronavirus outbreak”, the post says.
Earlier, Formula 1 indefinitely postponed the start of the new season, postponing the Grand Prix of Bahrain, Vietnam, China, the Netherlands, Azerbaijan and Canada, as well as canceling the stages in Australia, Monaco and Spain. Thus, the championship will begin no earlier than July 5. The race in Austria is scheduled for this date.
