OREANDA-NEWS  Evolute was the first in Russia to start mass production of hybrid cars: the i-Space hybrid crossover, presented at the international industrial exhibition Innoprom, was put on the assembly line of the plant near Lipetsk, Andrey Reznikov, managing partner of the manufacturing company, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"We assembled the first cars just last week. They have already been certified, and the vehicle type has been approved. This means that both the cars and the car production process fully comply with the requirements of the Russian certification authorities," said the top manager, answering a question about the timing of the launch of mass production of the novelty.

Reznikov stressed that in the Russian Federation there is a fairly high demand for cars with a hybrid power plant. In total, the company intends to sell "several thousand" i-Spaces this year.

"At Evolute, we will always come up with a naming that embodies the advantages and concept of the model as clearly as possible. For example, we decided to call the seven-seat hybrid in which we are currently conducting an interview i-Space. Because, on the one hand, you can say this about it after hearing its parameters - "it's just space." Secondly, Space, translated into Russian, except for "space", has the meaning of space. This is a voluminous seven-seater car, in which all of us can comfortably sit," the top manager added, talking about the novelty.

He added that the new i-Space hybrid will cost from 2.9 million rubles, the model will become the most affordable family hybrid crossover in the Russian Federation.
