According to a representative of Jindal Stainless, there are about 100 metric tons of stainless steel in the containers. The containers were shipped in February last year, but due to EU sanctions, the cargo was delayed.
The representative noted that stainless steel is not included in the sanctions list and must be cleared for further transportation.
In the middle of March last year, the publication DH reported that about 1.5 thousand cargo containers intended for shipment to Russia were blocked in the Belgian ports of Antwerp and Zeebrugge.
