British Air Force Reported the Departure of Fighters to Escort Two Russian Aircraft

OREANDA-NEWS. The British Air Force reported on Monday the departure of its fighters to escort two Russian anti-submarine aircraft. The Royal Air Force’s “Typhoons” were re-launched on August 12 to escort Russian aircraft. The radar recorded two Tu-142 "Medved" aircraft approaching the airspace of the United Kingdom", the message said on Tuesday on the Air Force’s Twitter page.

Subsequently, Typhoon fighters deployed in the Baltic countries flew to escort the Russian Tu-95 and two Su-27 fighters flying near Estonia. British Secretary of Defense Ben Wallace noted that the actions of British aviation are necessary to ensure British security around the clock.
