Boeing Representative Assessed the Impact of US Sanctions on Cooperation with a Supplier from Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. The American aircraft manufacturer Boeing does not see a problem due to the Russian titanium supplier VSMPO-Avisma falling under the sanctions of the US Department of Commerce. On December 23, RBC news agency wrote about this with reference to a representative of the corporation.
Boeing is acting in full compliance with the current legislation and does not expect any changes in cooperation with VSMPO-Avisma, an unnamed company’s representative told journalists.
The press service of VSMPO-Avisma confirmed that the restrictions imposed by Washington will not affect the production process. “In the case of using American technologies, the consent of the US authorities is required, but at VSMPO-Avisma, only Russian technologies are used in titanium production, they are mostly our own developments, so there is no need to agree on anything,” the reporters’ interlocutor explained.
