OREANDA-NEWS  The former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg received a new name "Lada St. Petersburg", follows from the extract of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRLE), which drew the attention of RIA Novosti.

Representatives of AvtoVAZ confirmed to the agency that the former Nissan Manufacturing Rus LLC now has a new name, noting that the concern has completed all the necessary legal actions for this. The authorities of St. Petersburg approved the renaming of the plant and the inclusion of the name of the city in the new name in April 2023.

In mid—June, the plant released the first Lada model - Lada X-Cross 5. The car turned out to be a Chinese FAW Bestune T77.

AvtoVAZ bought the former Nissan plant in February. The transaction amount was one euro. After 99 percent of the company's assets were owned by AvtoVAZ, one percent remained with the NAMI State Scientific Center.
