Avtovaz plans to start production of the updated Lada Granta at the end of 2024

OREANDA-NEWS Avtovaz intends to launch the production of the updated Lada Granta model at the end of 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, said during the launch ceremony of the Lada Vesta serial production in Togliatti.
The Board of Directors of AvtoVAZ JSC approved the creation of two new Lada crossover models on the Lada Vesta platform, as well as a separate family of Segment B on the global platform. This was reported to RBC in the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
"The Board of Directors unanimously approved the launch of two projects of new Lada models, which should be put on the conveyor in 2024-2025," said Denis Manturov, Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Chairman of the Board of Directors of AvtoVAZ JSC.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, while maintaining sanctions restrictions and problems with the supply of components, AvtoVAZ plans to produce up to 140 thousand new cars in the second half of 2022, and up to 500 thousand in 2023.
"An updated Granta is planned to be released at the end of next year," Manturov said.
Earlier it was reported that Avtovaz plans to release a family of cars of the "B" segment and a crossover on the Lada Vesta platform, their production was scheduled for the end of 2024 and the end of 2025, respectively.
