OREANDA-NEWS. According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", in August of 2016 the volume of import of cars in Russia was 21.1 thousand units, which is 5.3% more than in the same month of the last year.
Thus, for the first time in the last three years the imports demonstrates a positive trend. Recall that the last time the growth of import of cars in our country was recorded in September 2013 (+ 5.2%), after which it always experienced a drop.

The most popular brand by the volume of import of passenger cars in the Russian Federation is the Japanese Toyota, the result of which reached 8.2 thousand units in August of this year - 3.5 times higher than a year before. It is worth noting that four representatives of this brand occupy the first positions in the ranking of models - Toyota RAV4, Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and Toyota Corolla.
