OREANDA-NEWS. The deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Myrzahmetov voiced greetings of the Head of Kazakhstan to the participants of the Mechanician forum.

The Minister of investment and development of Kazakhstan Jenis Kasymbek in his speech noted the importance of the railway engineering sector developing and stressed on the successful cooperation with multinational companies such as General Electric, Patentes Talgo, Alstom for the new technologies transfering, increasing of production localization.

"The President ordered that during the formation of the list of industrial projects which are supported by the state, to comply strict criteria of export orientation and performance", - said Zhenis Kasymbek.

Currently, the railway engineering cluster includes 189 small and medium businesses on production of components, materials and spare parts. The railway enterprises created over 12 thousand new work places, mastered the 5120 names of railway products. The share of local content in the product is 40% - 80%.

The realization of the domestic products export potential shows that during the last three years to the partners from Kirgizstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Russia were sent diesel locomotives, electric locomotives, switches and actuators.

The total export capacity till 2020 is amounts up to 250 locomotives, 200 electric locomotives, 700 thousand tons of rails, 500 passenger carriages, 4200 freight carriages, 700 thousand sets of rail fasteners and others in amount more than 3.3 billion dollars USD in to 17 countries over the world.
