150 apprentices will start their professional careers in Frankfurt with the Lufthansa Group
OREANDA-NEWS. Once again, this summer 150 apprentices will start their professional careers in Frankfurt with the Lufthansa Group, the largest employer in the German state of Hesse. The training of young people has a special significance for Lufthansa. A total of 250 young people across Germany will be embarking on an apprenticeship or course of study in the Lufthansa Group in the new academic year.
Lufthansa offers a wide selection with 8 study programs and 34 different apprenticeships, including training for air transport management assistants, system caterers, restaurateurs and chefs at LSG Sky Chefs, specialists for inventory administration at Lufthansa Cargo and Lufthansa Technik, as well as specialists for forwarding and logistic services – young people have a broad range of diverse career opportunities to choose from at Lufthansa.
In addition, 1,400 flight attendants will be starting 115 twelve-month training courses at Lufthansa this year. More training courses will be offered in the coming year.
"The large number of apprentices shows that Lufthansa continues to be a top employer, offering employment prospects with attractive conditions. We are very pleased about the broad interest in Lufthansa, since the training of young people is very important to us," says Dr. Bettina Volkens, Chief Officer Corporate Human Resources and Legal Affairs at Deutsche Lufthansa AG.
Overall, the Lufthansa Group employs approximately 37,000 people in the state of Hesse and around 1,500 apprentices across Germany. In addition, there are further apprentices employed across the Lufthansa Group in over 80 locations abroad.
