A daily record for the amount of precipitation is recorded in the capital. According to information at 18.40 Moscow time on Monday, 8 flights were delayed at Vnukovo, 5 were canceled; 23 flights were delayed at Domodedovo and 2 were canceled; 15 flights were delayed at Sheremetyevo, 3 were canceled.

Earlier, Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather Center, told RIA Novosti that on Monday the daily record for the amount of precipitation has already been updated in Moscow. Last night alone, 18 millimeters of precipitation fell in the capital, which is a third of the monthly norm in December. The previous record for December 12 was set in 1960, and was 12.5 millimeters. He also noted that it is possible to update the December maximum precipitation.
