OREANDA-NEWS. The Neva Design Bureau (PKB) presented at the International Navy Show in St. Petersburg the newest aircraft carrier of the project 11 430E “Lamantin”.  The model of the aircraft carrier is presented in the cabin pavilion.

 "BDK Cayman "is intended for receiving, transporting by sea and disembarking in cooperation with other means of the fleet on the unequipped coast of troops and equipment during an amphibious landing operation, providing maritime troop transportation, setting defensive mines and network obstacles and hydroacoustic buoys for underwater positioning systems  observations in the ocean, sea coastal zones ", - says in the description of the project.

 Based on the project data, the length of the aircraft carrier will be 350 meters, autonomy - 120 days, and the full speed will be 30 knots.  The service life of the ship will be 50 years.

 As previously reported by the news agency, Nikolai Evmenov, commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy, said at the International Navy Show in St. Petersburg that the Russian fleet would have at its disposal an atomic aircraft carrier, but this would not happen in the coming years.
