OREANDA-NEWS Activists of the interregional public movement "Killed roads" in 2019 will inspect 1.5 thousand roads, visiting all regions of the country. Together with experts from road universities, they will for the first time assess the quality of repair of roads carried out within the framework of the national project "Safe and quality roads", said the state Duma Deputy from the Pskov region, the leader of the "Killed roads" Alexander Vasiliev.

According to him, experts will also assess the condition of the roads, which are still in a broken state, and will give the authorities recommendations to put in order such sites. At the moment, according to activists, there are more than 36 thousand sites in the country that require repair and provoke emergency situations. According to Vasilyev, in Russia every year there are about 170 thousand accidents with victims.

"Road raids will be held in all regions of the Russian Federation, together with experts from specialized road universities of the country, we will assess the overall quality of the road network, the condition of warranty roads, as well as for the first time we will evaluate the routes repaired under the project "Safe and quality roads". In total, we will inspect more than 1.5 thousand roads. Also, the inspectors will give the regional authorities advice on the elimination of foci of accidents", - said Vasiliev.

According to him, public men will also update information on the interactive "map of the killed roads" which collects information on problem sites of routes from inhabitants of the country.

The national project "Safe and high-quality roads" will cover 104 cities forming agglomerations, 83 subjects of the Russian Federation. In particular, within the framework of the project implementation, by 2024 (compared to 2017) the share of roads of regional importance in the normative state should increase from 43.1% to 50.9%, the length of roads of urban agglomerations in the normative state is doubled (up to 85%). Financing of the national project by the regions of the Russian Federation for six years will be more than 4 trillion rubles, the Federal budget will send more than 440 billion rubles.
