OREANDA-NEWS. On Monday, the plane of Ural Airlines flying on the Antalya-Yekaterinburg route made an emergency landing at the Sochi airport because of a passenger who became ill, the airline's press service told Interfax.

"On board the aircraft, the woman was given first aid by the crew members and a doctor from among the passengers. Unfortunately, the woman died before arriving at the airport," said an airline spokesman.

At the moment, the aircraft is still at the Sochi airport, the press service added.

According to the press service of Sochi airport, the flight en route from Antalya to Yekaterinburg, unscheduled, landed in the air harbor at 9:00 Moscow time on September 20.

The reason is deterioration of health of a passenger born in 1959 from the city of Kurgan, it was reported. At 08:50 Moscow time, shortly before landing, the passenger died, the press service said.

The aircraft is currently awaiting departure after completing all necessary procedures with the deceased passenger.

According to the Koltsovo online board, the plane took off from Antalya at 07:35. It is now at the Sochi airport. There E1.RU was informed that the plane was preparing to fly to Yekaterinburg. It should arrive here at 14:50.
