OREANDA-NEWS In the Kostroma region, a freight train rammed a car that drove onto a railway crossing. This was announced by the press service of the Northern Railway in the Telegram channel.

The accident occurred at the crossing between Sendega and Drovinki stations. The driver of the freight train applied emergency braking, but a collision with a vehicle could not be avoided.

"According to preliminary data, there are no casualties. There is no derailment of the rolling stock. The situation did not affect the movement of trains," the press service reported. They also urged drivers to be vigilant when crossing the railway track.

A similar case occurred on August 5 in the Novosibirsk region. There, a car crashed into a train in the village of Marusino. At the end of July, the Kazan — Adler passenger train collided with KAMAZ near Volgograd. Then nine wagons derailed. There were more than 800 passengers inside the train. As a result of the incident, over 100 people were injured.
