OREANDA-NEWS A bill has been submitted to the State Duma, which assumes the introduction of administrative responsibility for aggressive driving when fixing this offense through photo and video recording, the corresponding document is available in the Duma electronic database.
"In order to exclude the establishment of unreasonably wide limits of subjective discretion for the law enforcement officer, the bill introduces a judicial procedure for bringing to administrative responsibility for intentional dangerous (aggressive) driving," the explanatory note to the bill says. The document clarifies that now there is no administrative responsibility for intentional dangerous driving, there are only fines for improper rebuilding and maneuvering.
It also says that the bill proposes to supplement Chapter 12 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation with a new article 12.18.1, which provides for administrative liability for intentional dangerous driving in the amount of 5 thousand rubles, this fine will be more significant than fines for improper rebuilding and maneuvering.
The explanatory note clarifies that if a lover of dangerous driving is repeatedly caught for reckless driving, he faces administrative liability in the amount of up to 10 thousand rubles or deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to one year.
The note also reports that videos often appear on social networks in which drivers of expensive cars demonstrate their dangerous driving, permissiveness and disregard for road users, as well as administrative fines imposed on them, up to 80% of accidents are committed through their fault.
"The adoption of the bill will increase road safety, will allow to preserve the health and life of many road users," the document says.
