OREANDA-NEWS  The Chinese Haval plant in the Tula region has suspended the assembly of cars. This is reported by the agency "Autostat" with reference to the press service of the enterprise.

The suspension of work is related to a corporate vacation, which will last from July 15 to July 21, the company explained.

The industrial site started operating in Russia in 2019. It produces upgraded F7 crossovers and the F7x crossover coupe, a medium—sized Dargo SUV, as well as the M6 crossover and the small-sized Haval Jolion SUV - the latter became a bestseller on the domestic market in 2024.

In June, the most popular Russian SUV car was the Haval Jolion crossover, which was bought almost seven thousand times. The second place was taken by Chery Tiggo 7 PRO Max, and the third place was taken by Chery Tiggo 4 PRO.

In 2024, China increased the supply of passenger cars to Russia — from January to April, exports increased by a third (plus 37 percent) compared to the same period a year earlier, to 237.1 thousand cars. Russia remains the largest market for Chinese automakers with a share of 14.7 percent.
