OREANDA-NEWS Yandex Market has hired a team of specialists from IKEA, which had previously ceased operations in Russia, and the company plans to create ready-made interior solutions, as well as introduce new ideas related to packaging and transportation of bulky goods, the press service of the marketplace told RIA Novosti.

"A team of managers and specialists from IKEA came to Market. Professionals in the field of design, technology, quality assessment and interaction with Russian and foreign manufacturers will be headed by Alla Kotyuga, who previously led IKEA's purchasing business in Russia," the press service said.

The company added that this year the online platform will focus on improving the customer experience when choosing furniture online. "The site also focuses on expanding the assortment and increasing the number of partners on the marketplace, introducing new solutions for packaging and transportation of bulky goods, as well as creating ready–made interior solutions," they stressed. At the beginning of August 2022, a special section "IKEA products and analogues" appeared on Yandex Market. It collected goods from various partners - for example, factories that supplied goods to IKEA, as well as from stores selling products of the chain. In addition, the online platform has on sale goods brought by partners from abroad. Later, in November, the company announced that it would buy all the remaining Swedish brand products in the country.
