Visa-free Travel to Thailand is Open for Russians Again
OREANDA-NEWS. As reported on the website of the country's embassy in the Russian Federation, Thailand has renewed the visa-free regime for Russian tourists, but before departure, it is now required to issue a certificate of entry (Certificate of Entrance, COE).
The website of the diplomatic mission says that tourists planning to spend more than 30 days in Thailand must apply for a TR visa, which is valid for up to 60 days with the further possibility of extending it for 30 days.
This type of visa provides a maximum stay in Thailand of 90 days. If the tourist intends to spend more time in the country (90-270 days), then you must apply for a Special Tourist visa STV.
In addition to obtaining a visa, tourists must go through a mandatory quarantine for a period of 15 nights in hotels approved by the Thai authorities.
To enter, travelers from Russia, in addition to a passport and a certificate of entry, need to show the hotel reservation where tourists will be quarantined, with confirmation of payment. You also need insurance in the amount of at least $ 100 thousand in case of treatment of COVID-19, a certificate of permission to fly (Fit to Fly) issued no more than 72 hours before departure, a certificate with a negative result of a PCR test for coronavirus, issued not more than 72 hours before departure. Certificates must be in English or Russian with a notarized translation into English.
