Vaccinated Tourists will be Able to Visit Cyprus Without a PCR Test, Compliance with Quarantine and Obtaining Special Permits
OREANDA-NEWS The Government of Cyprus has made a number of decisions concerning the conditions of entry of foreign citizens from March 1, 2022. Thus, travelers who have been vaccinated or have had coronavirus are exempt from the obligations of providing PCR tests, observing quarantine and obtaining special entry permits, according to a statement on the website of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia.
Vaccinated tourists need an EU digital certificate or a vaccination certificate from a third country, including a Russian certificate with a QR code from the public services website, to enter. Unvaccinated Russians will need a certificate with a negative result of a PCR test done no earlier than 72 hours before departure, or an express antigen test (no earlier than 24 hours before departure).
Vaccines AstraZeneca, AstraZeneca-Sinovac, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca-Covishield, AstraZeneca-SKBio, Covaxin, Novavax Nuvaxovid and Sputnik Lite are recognized by Cyprus, as well as vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) (when introduced as a booster), the report says.
Earlier, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia reported that in order for Russian tourists to enter Egypt, it is still necessary to have a certificate with a negative result of a PCR test for coronavirus or a certificate of vaccination with Sputnik V. Only passengers with questionable certificates can be subjected to selective testing at the airport.
