Turkish Hotel Closed Due to Easter Party of Ukrainian Tourists
OREANDA-NEWS. In Turkey, the operation of the hotel was suspended due to Ukrainian tourists who decided to celebrate Easter amid the worsening situation with the coronavirus.
According to the newspaper Türkiye, the regulatory authorities learned about the incident after the participants of the "party" posted a photo on social networks.
As a result, the hotel was revoked the Safe Tourism certificate, which allows it to work in a pandemic.
Antalya Governor Ersin Yazici said in this regard: "The images that violate the pandemic countermeasures were leaked to social networks and the media. Our colleagues visited the hotel. According to the protocols drawn up as a result of the expert examinations, the incident was confirmed."
Turkey has a strict lockdown from April 29 to May 17 due to the high incidence of COVID-19: in particular, it implies a 24-hour curfew - the longest in the country since the start of the pandemic.
Russia, due to the difficult epidemiological situation in Turkey, has limited air traffic with the republic from April 15 to June 1. As the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova noted, it was from this country that the Russians brought the most mutated strains of coronavirus.
