Tour Operators Spoke about the Demand for Holidays in Belarus
OREANDA-NEWS. Since August, the number of flights between Russia and Belarus has increased, but the number of bookings is decreasing. ATOR learned from tour operators what this decline may be associated with.
Since the beginning of the month, 20 planes a week have been flying on the route Moscow - Minsk instead of 10. In addition, from August 7, Belavia flights will depart from the capital of Belarus to Sochi, and from the eighth to Krasnodar.
Previously, regular flights were resumed with other Russian cities - Ufa, Samara, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg and Rostov-on-Don.
However, according to the experts of the national tour operator "Alean", the demand for tours in comparison with 2019 has decreased at least twice.
"At first the insufficient number of traffic was a deterrent, then the political situation in Belarus. Now there is a lack of information that the country is ready to receive tourists."
Another reason for the fall in demand is the inability to cross the border by car. According to representatives of the Russian Express tour operator, before the pandemic, many Russians went to Belarus by personal transport. Now you can get into the country in your car only for treatment, having with you documents confirming this purpose of the trip.
The general director of the Dolphin tour operator Sergey Romashkin drew attention to the high cost of air travel, which also negatively affects sales. According to him, two years ago a ticket from Moscow to Minsk and back cost about four thousand rubles, and now you will have to pay at least three times more for the flight.
