OREANDA-NEWS. Mountain resorts and the Caucasian reserve in Sochi have prepared for tourists new and improved hiking routes in the summer season, the city administration said.

It is noted that in the mountain cluster of Sochi started the season of hiking. In the opening summer season, mountain resorts of Sochi and the Caucasus Reserve have prepared new excursion hiking trails. Ecotropics differ in length and level of complexity, designed for different categories of tourists with different level of training.

"Hiking routes of Krasnaya Polyana are popular among the city visitors. Our tourists combine rest on the Black Sea coast with travel in the mountains of the Caucasian reserve. In the new season ski resorts have improved infrastructure, opened new excursion routes and eco-trails for their guests. All of them are safe for visitors and certainly deserve the attention of the guests of the resort," the head of department of resorts and tourism of Sochi Svetlana Batiyakina stated.

More than ten new hiking trails with waterfalls, relict trees, alpine meadows were prepared at the ski resort Krasnaya Polyana. The length of the routes is over 40 kilometers. The ski resort "Rosa Khutor" offers walks in the forest area of the Mzymta river valley, where you can see the iconic sites of the 2014 Olympics and a picturesque lake. Seven summer hiking trails have also been discovered in the Caucasian State Nature Biosphere Reserve.
