OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian authorities have identified the need for cable cars and attractions. It is necessary to produce "equipment important for the development of tourism" inside the country, and not to buy it abroad, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said, RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

"It is important to carefully work out the issue of creating domestic attraction equipment." To determine the need for devices, machines, equipment for the activities of organizations of the entire tourist complex. I would say this: everything that we used to buy abroad," the head of government set the task for the relevant departments.

According to Mishustin, there are no problems with the demand for carousels and attractions in Russia, it will only grow. Therefore, it is necessary to assess the capabilities of the domestic industry and understand what needs to be produced and to what extent.

In the spring of 2023, the Association of Air Transport Operators (AEVT) asked the authorities to extend the subsidy program for the industry and allocate another hundred billion rubles from the budget. The carriers stated that compensation of their operating expenses in the conditions of sanctions will allow to achieve the targets for passenger traffic for the year — more than 100 million people.
