OREANDA-NEWS Since the beginning of this year, more auto parts have been imported into Russia by parallel import, marketplaces confirm a significant expansion of the range compared to last year. In parallel with this, dealers note an increase in the volume of counterfeit goods, Kommersant reports.
For example, at Avito, the number of offers for the sale of auto parts increased by 21 percent in the incomplete first quarter, to 39 million. At the same time, total component sales increased by 18.5 percent. The platform notes that "more than a million new unique spare parts and accessories have appeared." A similar trend is seen in Yandex.Market — according to the marketplace, the assortment has doubled since February last year. Both sites record that parts for Volkswagen, Lada, Kia and Hyundai cars are in the greatest demand.
Market participants confirm that the peak of the shortage of auto parts has already been passed and at the moment there are components in the country for routine scheduled maintenance for almost all models. However, the supply of engines (assemblies and components), transmission units and spark plugs is still difficult, warns Fresh Auto Service Director Alexander Nosko. Rolfa's service director Yulia Trushkova agrees with him — she points out that the main difficulties may arise with premium brands in terms of body parts, electronic components, security systems and glass elements.
