OREANDA-NEWS. The number of vacancies in the field of IT in Russia over the past month has decreased by 25%, and the number of resumes has increased by 15%. RBC writes about this, referring to the data received from HeadHunter.
As of March 21, about 95 thousand vacancies in the IT field were opened in Russia, which is a quarter less than a month earlier. At the same time, the number of resumes during this time increased to 286.4 thousand (+15%), the study noted.
Now the level of competition among specialists in the IT field is three contenders for a place, while previously there were only two people. At the same time, the number of resumes continues to grow. At the end of March 2022, there were 58% more of them than at the beginning of 2021.
According to HeadHunter, in the first quarter of 2022, more than half (60%) of companies that previously had more than 100 vacancies for IT specialists reduced their offer by a quarter compared to the fourth quarter of 2021.
Experts considered that the decrease in the number of vacancies for IT specialists in Russia was due to the fact that many companies began to revise their budgets and plans due to the unstable economic situation. With the normalization of the economy, the market may again face a shortage of specialists.
HeadHunter added that the number of IT professionals wishing to leave Russia is growing. By the end of February, the number of vacancies with a desire to move was 36.5% of the total, and by the end of March it had exceeded 40%.
