OREANDA-NEWS Wheat exports from the Russian Federation in the last agricultural season amounted to 54.1 million tons, head of the Ministry of Agriculture Oksana Lut told reporters at the site of the I All-Russian forum of breeders and seed growers "Russian Field - 2024".

"54.1 million tons of wheat," Luth said in response to a question about the volume of wheat exports in the last agricultural season.

This season, harvesting has just begun, so the price of grain is low, the minister added. According to her, the grain of the "third class" is going well, which is used to form a grinding batch in the production of baking flour.

"The price for cleaning is low. And I think, since it will grow by three by the middle of the season... the further it goes, the more third-class grain will be bought," the minister noted.
Earlier in August, Lut reported that grain exports from Russia in the past 2023-2024 agricultural year, which ended at the end of June, amounted to at least 72 million tons.
