OREANDA-NEWS  Roskachestvo has certified the first producer of organic cider in the country — it was the Acme Service enterprise from the Kaluga Region, the organization told RIA Novosti.

Previously, 4 wine producers and 8 grape producers, 16 vodka producers, 2 gins and 1 tincture were certified.

"Roskachestvo has certified the first producer of organic cider in the country. It became an enterprise from the Kaluga region - LLC "Acme Service". The manufacturer first certified apples (4 hectares), and then 11 types of cider produced from them," Roskachestvo reported.

It is noted that the company has been audited at all stages of production by the Roskachestvo – Organic certification body. A study of soils, raw materials (apple) and cider itself was conducted to meet the requirements established by "organic" standards, including control over the content of sulfur dioxide (no more than 50 mg/dm), a ban on the use of pesticides, agrochemicals and artificial fertilizers when growing apples.
