The Authorities of the Krasnodar Territory Said They are Not Going to Close the Black Sea Resorts Due to COVID-19
OREANDA-NEWS. The authorities of the Krasnodar Territory are not going to close the resorts, since the epidemiological situation in the region is stable, but the prospects for the holiday season depend on the activity of vaccination of residents and guests of the region, as the regional administration reports.
"Now we are not going to close the resorts - neither Sochi, nor other cities. The epidemic situation in the region is stable. Today we do not see the need to introduce additional measures, we still have a number of serious restrictions," said the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratyev, who is quoted by the press service of his administration.
It is noted that in the region, compliance with all antiquated requirements from hotels and consumer facilities is still monitored, the occupancy rate of cinemas, theaters, concert halls, stadiums and sports facilities is allowed at the level of up to 50% in compliance with all sanitary standards, cafes and restaurants are open until midnight, the requirement to maintain a social distance of 1.5 meters and wear masks remains.
“We kindly ask tourists to treat this situation with understanding. The Krasnodar Territory also spent the last year's holiday season amid the coronavirus epidemic. The tourism industry, our sanatoriums and hotels are already ready to work in these conditions. But the further holiday season will directly depend on how actively residents and guests of the region will be vaccinated, "the governor added.
Earlier, the authorities of the Krasnodar Territory also drew the attention of guests of the region and holidaymakers that they can be vaccinated against COVID-19 in resorts: mobile vaccination points have been opened in the coastal cities of Tuapse, Sochi and Novorossiysk, and in the near future their number will be increased in other resorts.
