OREANDA-NEWS McDonald's restaurants will reopen in Moscow, but under a new brand, the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin expressed confidence.
According to him, 95-98% of the products used in cooking turned out to be Russian-made, which also applies to technology.
It is reported that with the support of the Moscow government, the new Russian owner of McDonald's will maintain the existing network of fast food outlets, staff, menu and customer service standards.
In early March, the corporation temporarily closed 850 restaurants in Russia due to the situation in Ukraine and suspended all operations on the market. CEO Chris Kempinski cited the lack of an opportunity to "guarantee the smooth operation of the main directions, the maintenance of a key assortment at enterprises and the high quality standards to which guests are accustomed" as the reason.
